In short: Your name, birthday, journal, and optional Health Connect import stay on your phone. If you use AI, weather, or we record that you opened the app, a small amount of data goes to our Energy Today servers or weather services. Google Play handles Pro payments. We do not sell your data. This is not a medical app.
Energy Today (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a daily check-in and timing app from Kea Today. Package name on Google Play: com.kea.energytoday.
This policy covers the Energy Today mobile app and the related pages on kea.today.
Energy Today is for reflection and planning. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or predict health, jobs, or money. Numbers in the app are about how the day fits you, not a medical measurement.
These stay in the app on your device unless you choose to send them (for example by using AI or export):

We use that so you can see how your body sits next to today’s energy number. It stays on the phone. We do not sell it. We do not use it for ads, employment, or insurance. You can turn off access in Health Connect or Android Settings.
On iOS, the same idea applies if you later allow Apple Health.
If you type into an AI or insight box, that text (and the context needed to answer) is sent to our Energy Today backend so a reply can come back. Hosted at energy-today-backend-4.onrender.com. We do not use those messages for ads.
When you reach Today with a profile, the app may send a hashed id (from name + birthday) and your first name to the same backend, so we can see that the app is being used. It does not send your full birthday or journal.
Today and some Pro rooms may fetch weather. If you grant location, we use a city-level GPS point. If you do not, we may use a rough location from your IP (ip-api.com) and weather from Open-Meteo. We do not sell location.
If you buy Pro, Google Play processes the payment. We receive that you purchased. We do not see your full card number.
Only if you connect Calendar. Then event titles and times you choose to sync go through our backend to Google’s Calendar API.
If you write to kea@kea.today or hello@kea.today, or buy a letter on kea.today, that email and the details you typed are used to reply and deliver what you asked for.
You can refuse any of these and still use Today.
To ask us to delete what we hold on the backend, follow Delete your Energy Today data or email kea@kea.today from the address you used, and clear data in Settings as well.
Energy Today is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Servers may be outside your country (including the United States). If you use AI, weather, or the app-open log, that data may cross borders. On-device data does not leave until you use those features.
